Here is the answer to last week’s Speaking Part 2 question.

I am going to talk about reading as a hobby.

As a child I used to read comics but it was the Harry Potter series that was my first. I remember falling asleep three times while trying to get through the first chapter but my persistence paid off and I’m very glad it did.

I read nearly everyday now. It’s cemented its place in the nightly ritual of bedtime reading and even now I find myself reading at least one chapter of  a book before I turn in for the night.

The reason I enjoy reading is because it is the easiest and cheapest way to discovering new places that not only exist on this Earth but also in peoples’ imagination. It has expanded my capacity to empathize with a variety of characters and opened my mind to new perspectives.
