IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Q.12 MODEL ANSWER

Here is the model answer for last week’s Speaking Part 2 question.

I am going to talk about my favourite city which is Mumbai.

Mumbai is the capital city of the state of Maharashtra in India. It is also known as the financial capital of the country and is home to the Indian Film Industry.

It’s a city that has something for everyone. There are heritage walks for those interested in its rich history, a great nightlife and a number of old Irani cafes and concept restaurants.

I like the city because it’s so resilient. It has survived terror attacks, large-scale immigration and annual monsoons that flood the city. Yet, it has people and a culture that have persevered and haven’t given up on their dreams.

Here’s the IELTS Speaking Part 2 cue card from last week.
